The Forest Station of the Forest Research Institute covers an area of about 30 ha, and includes approximately 120 different woody species, native or exotic, grow either naturally or in experimental plantations. Since the establishment of the Institute, numerous experiments have been set up at the Station. Measurements and actions, carried out within the framework of research programs, have been included in more than 70 publications and theses. In addition, school students are guided through the Station, within environmental education and nature awareness programs (Photos: Savvas Kazantzidis).
